To all ya'll, from Uncle Hal - Written Oct. 21st, 2013
"Life is like a feather
On the morning breeze
No true direction
No guarantees.
We wake and think
Our days and plan
God says maybe,
But on the other hand
It may come down
To a wing and prayer
And the exercise
Of just gettin' there.
Now we've all had days
Just like this
Where leaving bed
Is hit and miss.
This just in! Hal Ketchum is scheduled to return to his home club, Gruene Hall, on Sept. 27th! Joining him are Kenny Grimes (guitar). Paul Pearcy (drums), Lynn Daniel (bass) and some very special guests.! Tickets available at gruenehall.com on Aug. 6th, @ 1pm.

A few words from Hal on the passing of Ray Price
There once was a Cherokee cowboy with a voice from the depths of earth. Some men are gifted and never know why. Some are chosen at birth to live out their lives right where they belong....to travel the world painting pictures in song. Now the Cherokee cowboy is resting at last. No trouble in mind of the future or past. The cowboy rides through the clear western skies, 'cause the music lives on and the song never dies.
Adios my friend.
Hal Ketchum
But the only thing truly
Written in stone
Is the simple fact
That you're not alone.
Now the best defense
Is a group of friends
Sometimes the means
Justify the end.
And the only happily
Ever-after
Is a warm embrace
And heartfelt laughter."
Love, Uncle Hal
