Author Robert Hicks has compiled an anthology of short stories by country songwriters, titled A Guitar and a Pen: Stories by Country Music's Greatest Songwriters, which will be released on May 14. Hicks is the author of the New York Times bestseller, The Widow of the South, and he also contributes a story to the book. The collection also includes stories by Charlie Daniels, Tom T.
